Here's to 8 amazing years

In 2017, I founded the Hebridean Mustard Company with all my heart and unbridled passion. It was the 1st of September when I sold my first jars of mustard in the Tarbert Community Hall. I never doubted that this was the right way for me.

However, there were also moments of uncertainty during this journey, when I had to question my ideas, abandon or alter plans, and take bold risks. 

It is precisely during such periods that I realise how important inner strength and deep belief are, and how much inspiration I draw from a benevolent environment.

Although Mustheb is a one-woman business, I never walk alone. First and foremost there is my wonderful husband, the world's best listener, who always encourages me. I am thankful for his clarity and wisdom.

I am also grateful to those who listened and spread my vision, namely that mustard is so much more than a dollop of yellow paste on your plate. These include the numerous press representatives in Germany and the United Kingdom, social media influencers, and most recently, representatives of the Scottish Government and the Scotland Food & Drink Organisation.

Every encounter helps my small business to grow.

And then there are you: my customers. Your loyalty nourishes me, fills me with enormous gratitude. Your trust, feedback and recommendations are the greatest gifts. 

With celebrating 8 years of Mustheb, I also celebrate the fabulous Mustheb community.
