James Martin's Saturday Morning Show
Your Mustard Maker was astonished when she received an email from the production team of James Martin's Saturday Morning Show asking if she would be interested in being part of the show.
The first thing I had to do was find out what kind of show it was, so I watched a few programmes (along with some mustard jars) and the mustards and I thought it was a great show.
Here's what they wrote to me:
'Our main criteria for selecting food producers is the quality of their product - so if you've made it this far in the process, it means that we as a team recognise that you make an exceptional product. We wouldn't cook with it on the show if we didn't think it was good enough.'
Great, I was proud! Then came the pre-interviews and the paperwork. There's a lot to read and sign before you go on TV, I can tell you.
Then came the day of recording the show - oh dear, I was so nervous. But James is actually very nice, authentic, a people person.
I invited him to come to the Hebrides. We have so many great food producers that he could fill a whole programme, or even two.
I'll reveal what he cooked on the show in a separate article.
